New to GameGuardian? Read these tutorials in order. Each one builds on the one before. Together they take you from your first value edit to encrypted values. Everything is written for GameGuardian 101.4 and offline, single-player games.
1. The basics
- GameGuardian tutorial for beginners: install it safely, pick a value type, search, refine and edit.
- Using GameGuardian without root: run it in a virtual space if your phone isn’t rooted.
2. Finding harder values
- Group search: find values you can’t change in the game, like shop prices and rewards.
- Fuzzy (unknown value) search: find hidden numbers such as health bars and timers.
- Bypassing XOR encryption: the X4 trick, and the maths behind it.
3. Worked examples
- Shadow Fight 2: searching an encrypted value.
- Battle Cats: changing a currency.
- SimCity BuildIt: group search in practice.
Older game examples were written for earlier game versions. The method still applies, but the exact values may differ.
Playing on PC?
- GameGuardian on a PC emulator: why BlueStacks root no longer works, and how to set up LDPlayer (tested 2026).
- How to use Cheat Engine: the PC equivalent of GameGuardian.
- How to open a .CT file: load ready-made Cheat Engine tables.
Ground rules
- Download GameGuardian only from gameguardian.net.
- Offline and single-player games only. Online games check values on their servers and ban cheaters.
- Don’t run scripts from people you don’t trust.
