Harry Potter: Wizards Unite EXP guide
So, you decided to plan Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, but don’t know how to progress fast. Fortunately for you, it’s easy, all you need to do is read through this quick guide and you’ll be a master at quick levelling and will reach the best parts of the game sooner than anyone else!
How to start:
First of all, the game will require you to choose a house, but don’t worry you can choose whichever seems more sympathetic to you, as they are purely aesthetic and don’t affect the gameplay.
After that you need to learn how to cast spells, which consists of you copying the motion with your phone that the game is showing you. The more accurate you are, the more EXP you get.
- Fair: +0 EXP
- Good: +20 EXP
- Great: +50 EXP
- Good: +20 EXP
- Masterful: +100 EXP
This might not seem to be a lot, but once you get the hang of accurate casting it will give you a huge boost. Getting 50/100 EXP each time you cast a spell will be a massive help for your levelling.
This is why the first thing you should learn when you start playing this game is how to cast accurately. But the amount of EXP you get at the end of an encounter depends on a few more things. Such as threat level:
- Low: 50 EXP
- Medium: 75 EXP
- High: 150 EXP
- Severe: 250 EXP
- Emergency: 500 EXP
But you can also receive occasional bonuses:
- 1st cast: 10 EXP
- New registry: 250 EXP
- New spell: 200 EXP
But the oddities can also determine the amount:
- Pixie: 50 EXP
- Centaur: 100 EXP
- Vampire: 150 EXP
- Werewolf: 150 EXP
Assignments:
These are a core part of the game and if completed will give you a huge EXP boost. But you can even get items, potions and scrolls which will help you out during tough times.
The last type of reward is gold. The premium currency of Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. From this it’s already obvious that you should prioritize the assignments that reward you with gold, as it’s the most useful.
Use the Elixir!
It doubles your EXP for 30 minutes, so make sure to use up all that time to farm some EXP, because Elixirs are hard to come by and you will be using them up instantly once you get them.
The way to use them more effectively is to:
- Have as many portkeys ready as possible
- Go to an Inn near a Fortress and start building your spell energy
- Drink the Elixir
- Open your portkeys and do the quests
- Go to the Fortress and complete as many floors as you can
- Go back to the Inn and use a dark detector and spend the rest of your time fighting traces
This is the easiest way to gain EXP, so make sure to farm up as much as you can.
Use dark detectors
These handy little things attract traces to Inns, which makes it a great item that can help you farm. Once you place it, it will be active for 30 minutes, increasing the spawn rate of traces near the Inn and increasing the chance of them being a rare one.
Using dark detectors can help you farm by making you practice spell casting.
Increase your item capacity
Well, this doesn’t really help you increase the amount of EXP you earn, but it will give you more time for farming. By not messing around with throwing out items constantly, you will be doing more productive things within the game, thus helping you cast more spells or clear more levels in Fortresses.
Lv. 1. Ruins Chambers
These chambers are the most reliable way for EXP farming, as you can rack up 500 EXP every 1,5 minutes. But the thing is: higher levels ones are not worth it, so please don’t try to find them and try to gain more EXP, because all you’re doing with it is wasting your own time.
Higher level chambers only give you a little more EXP but take a ton of time to complete, thus eliminating the reason for completing them. Stick to level 1s.
Farming oddities
Every single day, there are two periods where the chance of oddities spawning is significantly higher.
From 5:30 to 7:15 am, and from 6:30 to 8:15 pm. If you go around looking for oddities at these times then you have a very good chance of finding a couple. Some of them can be Horned Serpents, which give you 1000 EXP each.
These are the easiest ways to farm EXP in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, so drink your Baruffo’s Brain Elixir and go out there to level up!
